In the town of Den Helder but also in the immediate area, there ara lots of places to see, experience and visit.
Standing on the dike in Huisduinen, you can see the island of Texel and across the sandbar off the coast (the Razendebol). Or on a dune overlooking the extensive bulb fields in and the distance Julianadorp. Sitting in your seat in frontof your tent or caravan you can enjoy the spectacle that many birds, on and above ourcampsite, are staging.
Opposit the Canpsite you can canoe where you can choose from different routes and distances (including family canoes). Also opposite the caming is Kimvallei where you can climb and float at different heights between the trees. Then there's Helder Valley with its animals and nature education for young and old.
Then there are the museums as there are Fort Kijkduin, the Reddeings Museum and the Marine Museum to name but a few.
Plenty to do for a relaxed vacation.

In the villages and towns in the area is always something to do (see our aktiviteten calendar). A day trip by bike (bike rentals are available at the reception) to the island TEXEL is definitely worth it.
