Camping
A
natural setting
The
tree-fringed fields available for camping can accommodate
tents, caravans, and camper vans. Each space is 100 square
metres and has an electrical hook-up (4 or 16 Amps). There are
two modern bathroom facilities, a launderette, and a service
station for camper vans. Our private exit through the forest
connects to a footpath that gives access to the beach. Thus,
you will not be disturbed by the noise of visitors going to
the beach during summer. Without having to cross any busy
roads, you take a relaxing walk under tree crowns as you head
for the waving beach grass and the sea.

Relaxation
A
healthy spirit in a healthy body.
The
beach, the sea, and the nearby Amstelmeer clearly offer the right setting for
healthy activities: jogging, flying kites, surfing, horseback riding, swimming,
and sailing. You can go on a catamaran and take advantage of prevalent winds. Or
experience the sensation of a sailing vessel forcing its way through a long
swell and displacing tonnes of water. Enjoy the breathtaking experience of
parasailing. Of course, you can also go biking, golfing, skating, or even
abseiling from the water tower.

Plant and animal life
To make our
grounds even greener, we have planted numerous trees, wild plants, and blooming
shrubbery. Giving nature a helping hand, we have been busy fertilising, digging
and sowing to transform De Donkere Duinen into a green paradise. Winding paths,
butterfly-rich hedges. Safe nestling spots for many bird species. A habitat for
hares and pheasants, blackbirds, wagtails, buzzards, or rabbits. None of these
are afraid to cross the grounds at dawn or dusk. We expect you to respect the
animals and plants as much as we do.
